Alvin and the Chipmunks, created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr., is a movie franchise about three anthropomorphic chipmunks: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. The trio is managed by their human adoptive father, David (Dave) Seville.

Alvin further manages to trick their babysitter, Miss Miller, into thinking that they are going to a baseball game with their father. The Chipmunks end up in a hot air balloon which takes them to Morocco.
After being captured by Claudia and Klaus, they escape and find themselves in the Sahara Desert. They are then found by some nomads who take them in and care for them. The nomads end up being robbers who steal a caravan carrying the diamonds.
The Chipmunks then get captured by Claudia and Klaus again but manage to escape and find themselves in a jungle. They are then found by some animals who take them in and care for them.
They finally find the treasure, but it is revealed to be a bunch of junk. The real treasure is the friendships and bonds that they have made along the way.
